COLD IS GOLD × TALYTIC
OPERATIONAL BRIEF · AUGUST 2026

A predictable flow
of new scale-up customers.

This document lays out an operational plan to win new customers for Talytic through cold email outreach, reaching the talent and people leaders at fast-growing companies that already hire on Ashby, Team Tailor, Recruitee or Pinpoint — reading time ~ 6 minutes.

Read first

What you are about to read is a first take, drafted ahead of our conversation to give you a concrete preview of how we work.

The prospects, signals and projections presented here are working hypotheses — we will refine them together during the engagement.

The aim of this document is to let you picture concretely what a campaign could produce.

01 / YOUR BUSINESS

We understand your DNA.

Talytic (“talent + analytics”) is a UK-based AI hiring-intelligence platform founded by Tony Payne, a talent-acquisition leader with around 26 years in the field who has run hiring for eBay, Accenture, SAP, BT and ING and scaled Oodle Finance from 300 to 1,000 people. What began three years ago as AI CV screening is now a full hiring-intelligence layer that plugs straight into the ATS a company already runs. The problem it solves is brutal and universal: a single role now draws 500 to 1,000 applicants, in-house teams get through maybe half, and the best people sit in a pile no one reaches. Talytic reads every application within minutes, produces an explainable, bias-aware breakdown against the job, and puts the strongest matches first — so every candidate is looked at fairly and the team stops burning its days screening people out.

70%
less screening time
AI reads every application against the job in minutes, so recruiters spend their time on the matches rather than sifting out the rest
100%
of applicants reviewed fairly
every candidate gets an explainable look with name, age and gender excluded from scoring, against the ~50% most teams ever reach today
50+
input languages supported
screens international applicant pools for companies hiring across borders, one consistent standard everywhere
4
live ATS integrations
Ashby, Team Tailor, Recruitee and Pinpoint, installed from the marketplace the team already uses, no rip-and-replace

What sets you apart

Talytic is not another CV keyword filter. It scores on capability and trajectory rather than pedigree, surfacing returners after a career break, non-linear paths and industry or growth-phase fit — the signals an experienced recruiter actually weighs. Bias awareness is built in, not bolted on: name, age and gender are excluded from scoring, biased job-description language is flagged, and every score carries a defensible audit trail. And because it installs from inside Ashby, Team Tailor, Recruitee or Pinpoint, it sits in the workflow the team already lives in rather than asking them to move.

What we will push on your behalf

Talytic to the talent and people leaders at fast-growing companies that are hiring hard right now. The cold email does not describe features, it opens on the pain every scaling team feels: hundreds of applicants per role, half of them never reached, the strongest CVs missed, and days lost screening the wrong people out. The message lands a single idea — matches first, everyone reviewed fairly, around 70% less screening time, and a real alternative to agency spend as you grow — and it rides on the fact that the prospect just raised, expanded or has a wall of roles live, so the pain is acute this quarter, not someday.

02 / YOUR MARKET

A market identified and qualified.

The targeting rule for Talytic is unusually precise, and that is its strength. A company only qualifies if it hires through one of your four live ATS integrations — Ashby, Team Tailor, Recruitee or Pinpoint — because that is what makes an install possible with no engineering work. We start from the global installed base of those four platforms, then keep only companies of 100 to 3,000 staff (funded scale-ups and fast-growing SMEs, where hiring volume and attrition run highest) in English-speaking markets: the UK, the US, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the Nordics where recruitment runs in English, plus the English-business hubs of Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE. That leaves a working universe of around 2,200 in-scope companies — deliberately tight, and every one of them installable today.

~2,200
companies identified
hiring on Ashby, Team Tailor, Recruitee or Pinpoint, 100 to 3,000 staff, in English-speaking markets
~1,100
contactable prospects
after applying the 50% ratio (named decision-maker + business email findable and verified)
~18
commercial opportunities
over 12 months (weighted mean of the 4 scenarios, 4 emails per prospect)
~4
potential new clients
over 12 months (UK B2B average closing rate: 20%) — each a recurring SaaS account at £499–799 per month, roughly £36k–57k of new ARR in year one and compounding as accounts renew and add seats

How we build this database

We identify ATS usage the way a candidate would: the “Apply” link on any LinkedIn job or careers page resolves to the ATS domain (jobs.ashbyhq.com, a teamtailor.com or recruitee.com subdomain, a pinpointhq.com careers site), and ATS-to-company partnerships are announced publicly. We cross-reference that with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Companies House and funding databases (Crunchbase, Sifted, Business Wire) and recruitment-sector press to find the talent and people leaders who match. Every contact is then verified and enriched by AI: role check, business-email validation, and a last-12-month news scrape per company. Doing this by hand across four ATS installed bases is impossible — the automation is what makes the targeting possible at scale.

Why 50% are contactable

Heads of Talent, People Directors and Heads of Recruitment are rarely listed in public databases with a direct business email. The 50% ratio is deliberately conservative — this seniority typically yields 40% to 60% verified emails through Sales Navigator, Apollo, Hunter and our enrichment stack — so the projections you see are realistic rather than optimistic.

This universe is intentionally narrow because the ATS-integration gate is strict — and that precision is exactly what makes every prospect installable today. It widens materially the moment Talytic adds a fifth integration (Workable is the biggest ATS outside the four), drops the 100-employee floor, or opens non-English European markets as separate local-language campaigns. And the number to hold onto is not only the count of closings: each new account is recurring SaaS revenue that compounds as it renews and expands seat by seat.
03 / PROSPECT SAMPLE

10 companies identified by our AI.

Before launching at full scale, we always start with a sample of 10 real prospects — here, ten companies each confirmed to hire through one of your four ATS integrations, spread across all four platforms and across the UK, US, Nordics, Europe and Canada. For each one we name a reachable decision-maker in talent or people, surface a recent verifiable signal, and explain why they fit Talytic. The same method will then be applied to your full database of ~1,100 contactable companies.

For each prospect, our AI identifies a concrete signal: a funding round, an acquisition, an award, a new site, or a wall of roles live right now. That signal justifies why to reach out now and provides the foundation for personalising the email.

The sample spans all four ATS — Ashby, Team Tailor, Recruitee and Pinpoint — and a deliberate mix of sectors: fintech, dev-tools, AI infrastructure, insurtech, energy, security, proptech, supply-chain, healthcare and utilities. You will have the opportunity to validate it and steer us before the campaign goes live.

01

Network Plus

Will Pedigrew · Head of Talent Acquisition
UK utility & infrastructure services group (water, gas, power, telecoms, transport), ~1,100 staff across England and Wales. Runs Pinpoint.
SIGNAL DETECTED

26 June 2026: acquired by private-equity house Warburg Pincus (from OMERS), alongside a running buy-and-build (Claret Civil Engineering, Littlewood Group). A fresh PE owner plus roll-up acquisitions means sustained, high-volume field and office hiring and the integration of several acquired workforces onto one standard.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

High-volume, permanent recruitment across dispersed field and office roles is exactly where screening throughput breaks. They already run Pinpoint, so Talytic installs with no engineering work, surfaces the strongest matches first, and gives every applicant a fair, consistent, auditable look as headcount ramps under the new owner.

02

CDL (Cheshire Datasystems)

Jed Shaw · Talent Acquisition Manager
Stockport insurtech and software house powering high-volume retail insurance (Tesco Bank, Swinton), 600+ staff. Runs Pinpoint.
SIGNAL DETECTED

26 May 2026: named in the 2026 Sunday Times Best Places to Work, having marked ten years as a certified Top Employer earlier in the year. They are actively hiring tech and engineering roles in a competitive Manchester market, and have publicly credited their ATS with a 30% cut in time-to-hire.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

Already sold on ATS-driven hiring efficiency and employer-brand strength — a warm audience for AI screening that speeds shortlisting further and takes bias out. Talytic sits inside the Pinpoint setup they already run and turns their time-to-hire win into a quality-of-hire one.

03

Vanta

Siobhan Palermo · Head of Talent
San Francisco trust-management / GRC platform automating SOC 2, ISO 27001 and vendor-risk compliance, ~1,700 staff. Runs Ashby.
SIGNAL DETECTED

Q2 2026: named a Leader in the Forrester Wave for GRC platforms, having reached roughly $300m ARR (up around 69% year on year), with a new EU hub in Dublin. Growth at that rate means a large, sustained hiring programme across engineering, sales and G&A.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

A big, fast-growing company with a dedicated, senior Head of Talent and a real TA org that buys tooling — the profile most likely to run a structured screening layer on top of the Ashby board they already use, and to value the explainable, defensible audit trail a compliance company lives by.

04

Baseten

Crystal Warmington-North · Director, Tech Recruiting
San Francisco AI-inference platform for deploying and scaling ML models in production, ~300 staff and climbing fast. Runs Ashby.
SIGNAL DETECTED

22 June 2026: raised a $1.5bn Series F at an ~$11–13bn valuation (Altimeter, Conviction, Spark), months after a $300m round, with revenue reported up 20x year on year. They have an executive-recruiter role open — the TA function is scaling right now.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

Explosive funding and 20x growth mean aggressive technical hiring against a small, fast-scaling TA team — the acute version of the too-many-applicants, too-few-screeners problem. They already run Ashby, so Talytic drops in and surfaces the strongest engineers first without adding headcount to recruiting.

05

Ardoq

Kingsley Macey · Chief People Officer
Enterprise-architecture SaaS (data-driven, now AI-first), a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader, ~284 staff with major London and New York hubs. Runs Team Tailor.
SIGNAL DETECTED

May–June 2026: launched its AI-First EA platform, acquired GraphLake to build an “EA-grade context graph” for enterprise AI, and expanded into APAC with Kapish. An AI-platform pivot plus an acquisition means aggressive commercial and engineering hiring across the UK, US and APAC.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

A CPO who has scaled hyper-growth orgs, owning a multi-region hiring funnel on Team Tailor. Talytic plugs into that ATS and gives one consistent, fair screening standard across London, New York and Oslo as the team hires into the AI pivot — exactly the cross-border consistency the 50+ input languages support.

06

Anyfin

Amanda Pusa Edwall · Chief People Officer
Stockholm consumer-fintech that refinances existing loans and credit; over 1m customers across Sweden, Finland and Germany, ~120 staff. Runs Team Tailor.
SIGNAL DETECTED

27 May 2026: announced a partnership with regtech Fourthline to upgrade identity verification “as the company scales”, while running a live search for a (deliberately non-traditional) CTO and six engineering roles.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

A small, engineering-heavy team hiring senior technical people into a strict in-office culture — where the cost of a bad hire is highest and fair, fast screening matters most. Talytic sits inside their Team Tailor setup and puts the best-matched, capability-first candidates at the top of a short list.

07

Hostaway

Owen Choi · Head of Talent Acquisition
Vacation-rental / short-term-rental property-management software, 100% remote across 40+ countries, ~325 staff. Runs Recruitee.
SIGNAL DETECTED

October 2025: became the world’s first short-term-rental-PMS unicorn at a $1bn valuation, following a $365m growth investment led by General Atlantic, and has grown 50%+ since. Hiring is global, cross-border and English-only.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

A scaling unicorn recruiting worldwide in English across engineering, sales, CS and RevOps — high-volume, cross-border screening is squarely Talytic’s wheelhouse, and the 50+ input languages handle an international applicant pool. They already run Recruitee, so it installs cleanly into a remote-first hiring machine.

08

Aikido Security

Jarno Broodcoorens · Talent Acquisition Manager
Developer-first software-security platform (SAST/DAST, AI pentesting), ~164 staff, hubs in London, Chicago, San Francisco and Singapore. Runs Recruitee.
SIGNAL DETECTED

14 January 2026: raised a $60m Series B at a $1bn valuation (DST Global, PSG, Notion, Singular), with 61 roles live on its Recruitee careers site right now across sales, engineering, security and CS — all in English.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

Sixty-plus open roles straight after a unicorn Series B is the sharpest volume-screening pain on the list. Talytic installs into the Recruitee board they already run and surfaces the strongest engineers, sellers and security hires first, so a lean team can move through a global applicant flood fairly and fast.

09

Bluecrux

Katrien Van Geel · Talent Acquisition Lead
Supply-chain consulting and technology (Binocs planning software) for life-sciences and industry, ~296 staff across Europe, the US, Ireland and APAC. Runs Recruitee.
SIGNAL DETECTED

2026: a live hiring surge of around 40 roles across six-plus countries (consultants, analysts and product/tech), on the back of steady headcount and revenue growth. Consulting delivery runs in English across every office.

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

A consultancy hiring analyst and consultant roles at volume across geographies is a textbook screening bottleneck — throughput and consistency across countries are the problem. Talytic sits inside their Recruitee setup and gives one fair, capability-first standard for every office at once.

10

Aspire Allergy & Sinus

Kelsey Hamilton · Chief People Officer
US multi-state allergy & sinus clinical network of 60+ clinics across Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Florida and New Mexico, ~221 staff. Runs Pinpoint.
SIGNAL DETECTED

9 April 2026: opened a new clinic in Georgetown, Texas — its 8th in greater Austin — as part of ongoing multi-state expansion, driving continuous clinical and support hiring (physicians, APPs, front-desk).

WHY THIS PROSPECT FOR TALYTIC

Continuous, geographically dispersed clinical hiring with compliance-sensitive, multi-state screening needs is exactly the “faster, fairer screening at volume” problem Talytic solves — and with a Chief People Officer at a ~220-person company, the buyer is senior and reachable. They already run Pinpoint, so it installs today.

04 / AI PERSONALISATION

Emails that look written by hand.

The difference between an email that gets ignored and one that gets a reply is rarely the offer, it is the first sentence. When a Head of Talent, People Director or founder opens an email and reads a line that names the ATS they hire on, the round they just raised, or the wall of roles live on their careers site this week, the email earns the right to keep going. Cold is Gold’s AI workflow extracts those facts at scale across thousands of scaling companies, then weaves them into the opening line of each email so every message reads as if a human spent two minutes on the recipient. No flattery, no horoscope copy, no “I came across your website” openings, just a precise, verifiable fact in the prospect’s own vocabulary, tied directly to the Talytic pitch.

The principle: when a talent or people leader reads the email, they should think “this person looked into me”, not “this is a bot”. Every opening sentence cites a precise, verifiable fact in recruiting vocabulary — ATS, applicant tracking, time-to-hire, shortlist, req, pipeline, quality of hire.

Here are the 3 types of signals we would use to personalise every email sent on your behalf, stacked from most-findable to most-personal so the AI pipeline always has a clean fallback.

01

The ATS they hire on (the integration hook)

What we look for Which of your four supported ATS the company hires through — Ashby, Team Tailor, Recruitee or Pinpoint. It is both the qualification rule and the strongest possible opening line, because it means Talytic installs with no engineering work.
Where we find it The “Apply” link on any LinkedIn job or careers page · the ATS domain in the URL (jobs.ashbyhq.com, a teamtailor.com or recruitee.com subdomain, a pinpointhq.com careers site) · public ATS partner and marketplace listings
Findable on 100% of prospects
Raw data

Baseten posts and manages its roles through Ashby (jobs.ashbyhq.com/baseten).

AI personalisation →

“Saw Baseten runs its hiring on Ashby, which is exactly where Talytic lives, so it would sit inside the workflow your team already uses rather than asking anyone to move.”

02

A recent growth or funding event (the timing)

What we look for A funding round, acquisition, new market or office, award or milestone in the last 12 months that means headcount is about to go up and the hiring plan just got bigger.
Where we find it Company newsroom · TechCrunch, Sifted, Business Wire, GlobeNewswire · Crunchbase · the founder’s or CPO’s LinkedIn
Findable on 90% of prospects
Raw data

Network Plus was acquired by private-equity house Warburg Pincus, announced 26 June 2026.

AI personalisation →

“With the Warburg Pincus deal closing in June, I imagine the hiring plan for the next year has just got a good deal bigger, which is usually the point where the volume of applications per role stops being manageable by hand.”

03

Live open-roles volume (the pain)

What we look for How many roles are open right now on their careers site — a direct, current read on the screening load hitting the team this quarter.
Where we find it Their ATS-hosted careers page · the company’s LinkedIn Jobs tab · live role counts refreshed weekly
Findable on 85% of prospects
Raw data

Aikido Security has 61 roles live on its Recruitee careers site, months after a $60m Series B.

AI personalisation →

“You’ve got 61 roles live on your careers site right now, that’s a serious pile of applications landing on a lean team, and it tends to be the exact moment the strongest people start slipping through unread.”

Good to know: phases 2, 3 and 4 run in parallel with the technical setup (phase 1). Concretely, during the 1-month technical warm-up we build your database and write your sequence — so the first emails go out from week 5.

Phase 1 — Technical setup

Creation of dedicated sending domains, SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration, opening and setting up the email addresses, launch of the warm-up (1 month). No action required on your side.

Phase 2 — Workshop (1h)

A structured working session to define together the structure of the database, the tone of voice for the emails, and to gather your case studies and key differentiators. This phase runs in parallel with phase 1 (Technical setup).

Phase 3 — Sequence copywriting

First draft, feedback rounds and optimisations with you, then layering in the AI personalisation (the signals shown above). We validate the overall email content with you before moving on to the database.

Phase 4 — Database build

We assemble a sample of prospects (like the 10 above) for you to validate. Once approved, we build the full database with quality control: field verification, contact qualification.

Phase 5 — Campaign launch

Sending starts as soon as the warm-up is complete. First results within the first week. Real-time tracking: open rate, reply rate, opportunities generated.

Phase 6 — Reporting & optimisation

Real-time reporting through our platform. Continuous adjustments and A/B testing on subject lines, opening sentences and sequences. Regular monthly or quarterly check-ins depending on results.

Our commitment
No contractual commitment on the number of opportunities.

How the guarantee works in 3 clauses.

D0 · Launch
CLAUSE.01
Our commitment

We commit to generating at least opportunities per month, i.e. opportunities over months. This target matches the low scenario of our projections (10% of our clients' campaigns).

M+1 · Check
CLAUSE.02
If we fall short of the target

As soon as a month closes below opportunities, your billing is immediately frozen. Concretely: you stop paying from that month onwards, until we have fully caught up the cumulative shortfall. You never pay for a month where we don't deliver on our commitment.

M+3 · Limit
CLAUSE.03
If the shortfall persists over 3 consecutive months

Termination is possible at no cost. We keep working at our own expense during those 3 months of shortfall; beyond that, we acknowledge the failure and you are no longer billable for what follows.

Dynamic values

The figures shown in these clauses are not fixed: they are recalculated automatically based on the parameters set in your simulation above. The final contractual commitment will depend on the parameters validated together at the start of the engagement.

Contractual definition of an opportunity: a prospect responding positively to one of our prospecting emails — either an information request or a meeting request.

In addition to fees, 3 technical costs to plan for.

A FINAL WORD

This document is not a sales pitch. It is a projection built on the real numbers from our campaigns — the scenarios presented are not promises, they are averages observed across our clients.

Our method has been operational for several years. It works as soon as the fundamentals are in place: a clearly identified market, a differentiating positioning, a measured closing rate. Talytic has all three.

Our conviction is that we can install for you a steady stream of qualified demos with scaling companies over the next 12 months — with indicators we steer together, month after month.

Whenever you want to talk about it concretely, we are here.
